What is G42?

G42 – is the 42^nd generation – in Numbers 33 you find there were 41 cities the children of Israel named during their wandering in the desert, places they called: bitterness, lust, they even named one city fat. The 42^nd stop was the promised land - taking the kingdom of God so that everywhere you place your foot is yours. The first chapter of Matthew lists 41 generations from Abraham to Jesus yet, it says there were 42 generations.  The last generation was from Jesus the man to Jesus the Christ, the son of God.  This is the generation that made the difference.  We believe that similarly, the next generation will make a difference.

Every generation has a name; the Baby Boomers, Gen X, and now the 42^nd generation. The 42^nd generation isn’t about age; it’s about an attitude of heart. These are the radical leaders who are going to change the world. They are ready to surrender their own lives in order to make the people around them achieve their dreams. The 42^nd generation will be change agents for the oppressed and will impart greatness to their own generation…

G42 is involved in many different areas... leadership training, discipleship, orphan care, the World Race, pastor training, children's villages, and the visions and goals are endless....

The History.

G42 began in 2005 in a cabin in the mountains of North Georgia when four leaders of ministry (Andrew Shearman, Gary Black, Seth Barnes, and Tom Davis) met for the first time.  They knew that God was birthing something special and stayed up till 3:00 a.m. for two nights in a row talking about it.  Andrew was the one who called the four men together and it is he who casts the vision.

All four founders of g42 have run their own successful ministries, but none of them have been satisfied.  All longed for a more complete expression of Kingdom life.  After two days, the four covenanted to establish a ministry together that would bring life around the globe.

Beginning with the World Race, G42 began to grow, always finding its most robust incarnation wherever the world’s darkness seems to be greatest.  Covenantal to the core, we are a relational bunch that is committed to activism wherever God sends us.

We are believing that, in spite of what the newspapers say, the future is very bright indeed!

G42 Goals

● To disciple 100,000 leaders and to train and release one million young people to the nations.

● Young people (age 22-35) want to serve the nations of the earth in the name of Jesus – we will help them reach their dreams.

● The focus of the work will be orphans, discipleship, church planting, and leadership training.

● Key players are in place for operating the ministry with the expertise and experience required.

● Hundreds of thousands of local fellowships will be planted on the basis of the 4 Pillars of Life.

● Investment capital is needed to launch our leadership training staff/facility to support it.
