Local Fellowships
Churches the
world over tend to do a poor job of discipleship.
They tend to be mired in legalism.
They don’t encourage their members; koinonea is not in
evidence. If we have
discipled a young person and they are going to plant a church, then
we don’t want to saddle them with an old wineskin.
They need freedom.
World Race Ministries will establish small group fellowships
based on the
“Four Pillars of Life” that churches around the world need.
Everywhere that our teams go, we will work through
relationships to develop new fellowships.
These
fellowships will inevitably be outreach-focused and will grow.
The churches we plant, must have an orphan outreach
component. The churches we work with stateside, must prioritize
ministry to the orphan. God’s heart concerning the orphan could not
be clearer in Scripture, and we want to align ourselves fully with
the most important things on His heart. By providing ministry to
orphans, we can be the hands and love of Christ Himself. The Bible
shares this message of love time and again. Deuteronomy 10:18
states, “He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows
His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing.” Matthew
18:5 and 25:45 respectively: “Whoever receives a child in My name,
receives Me” and “Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it
to one of the least of these, you did it unto Me.”
We will
continue to stay in relationship with them and will encourage them
to plant the kingdom in communities beyond their own.
